Fran Ulmer, Chair of the US Arctic Research Commission, addressed participants at the November 15, 2011, Arctic Policy Forum where she stressed the ongoing importance and need to advance an arctic research policy. The Forum brings together key stakeholders in Alaska's Arctic to discuss a wide range of issues, including Arctic policy, emerging technologies, and infrastructure challenges facing development in the Arctic.
